I always tell people, if you are going to splurge on photography....do it for your weddings....and your babies.
Weddings can be a fortune.....and what's left after the day is done? Your memories, your new spouse and your photos!!
Now I don't offer wedding photography but I come in later when those newborns arrive....
Why splurge one newborn photos?
plain and simple.....babies just don't keep.
take from me....a hop and a skip and they'll be starting kindergarten and you'll beg for the memories of when they fit in your hands.

WOW! It's been such an excellent and busy year for Bluebird and I've been blessed to capture so many beautiful and tiny faces.
It's always been difficult to manage and balance my most important role as a Wifey and Mama ( or as my kids say "Miss Hannigan ) on top of the title Photographer and as a result my cute little website usually suffers with the lack of updates.
It's sad really but now and again I get a chance to share something new!

I LOVE kids!!! The only thing that makes me happier then a newborn is seeing and capturing them as they grow and capturing the family that love them!
I've had some adorable Big and Little kids around here lately and I wish I had time to blog all of their sessions but I don't ( I have my own kids to wrangle)

When Lincolns beautiful Mom contacted me….I have to admit I was nervous! This handsome baby was
already a month old!
Now I know what your thinking, a baby who is only four weeks old is still brand new ….. that is unless your newborn photographer.
Lincoln exceeded my expectations in every way. He was an absolute dream boat and I've
learned not to be nervous about any age!

At three days new, Olivia was the freshest newborn I've ever worked with. Luckily she made her debut just in time to come over before I left on vacation. She and her big sister
were darling.
I've loved shooting her and her cousins newborn portraits! all such beautiful babies.

where I could have just kept taking pictures for hours….I didn't want them to leave!

May 13th we finally met Crew! Crew Walter to be exact ( named after my Grandpa, see about tab )
We call him C dub for short….or Cruiser...
We greeted a hefty 8lb 11 oz dude but not without a bit of trouble first.
We all learned what Shoulder Dystocia was that day and it's not a pleasant thing to experience during labor!
Still feeling grateful for the Medical Team who acted fast and delivered one stuck little baby in less than two minutes.
I was nervous about his newborn pictures. Sometimes babies are so tricky to work with and I just KNEW he'd be
that one who poops and sobs the entire time. Luckily….with the help of my insanely nice sister in law/ fellow photog Lindsey
we were able to pull off a decent session! He was a little whiny ( think broken clavicle ) so I cut him some slack
and spared his little shoulder any pose too intricate. A HUGE thank you to Knits by Dawn Couture Phantasies andAll3suns
for creating custom and gorgeous props for this session.
So happy he's here…. that he has no nerve or brain damage from his birth, that he's pretty much stinking adorable, squishy and fits right in with our family.

Baby Bluebird Oliver
Words can't even express how fun and perfect this session went! At 34 weeks pregnant myself, I was so grateful for a sleepy baby ! Oliver was so handsome and sweet. A special thanks to my fab Sister In Law Lindsey at Lucy Bloom Photography! She was so helpful.
